I thought I was going to have to buy a $50 oil pan and sump, plus pan gasket and rear main seal, but after looking at my engine bay, the pan that's on my 302 will work. now i just have to do the seals and i'm back in business. Gunna snag some manifolds and fab up a exhaust pipe that drops off where ever so i can move the truck around my house (Maybe a little gravel roading) until i can afford to finish the exhaust.
I'll work on some other projects like my fiberglass items during the winter and hopefully start stripping the truck and patching(Next spring), then paint (summer)
Yikes! picked up an older JD, the kind with the engine on the back... they said it would only run for 15 minutes and then quit which told me the only problem is the gas cap vents. Father in law slapped a new battery in and it ran like a champ without even having to change the cap.
