Buzz Flash VS Inductive Heat Flash

I have a 2006 250 FX4 with 50,000 mi. I had the Buzz flash @ about 12,000 mi and am very happy with it. Question is which is better Buzz or Inductive?
Should it be if it aint' broke don't fix it?

Personally, I'd stick with what you have. There have been an increase in FICM failures that may be due to the inductive heating flash. I believe there's a new flash out that is supposed to address this problem but the jury is still out.

Thanks. I was about to go and request the Inductive and then I started reading about the problems on this site with the first inductive flash so I put it on hold and just trying to get some opinions.

The newest flash has a "modified" version of the Inductive Heat flash. It is suppose to address the FICM (or suspected FICM) issues. Personally, I would have no problems getting the newest flash. However, if the buzz flash is working OK for you and you do not mind the noise - probably no need for the new one.

Thanks, Bismic. I should have asked is anything wrong with the buzz flash, and you answered that. No the noise doesn't bother me. It's funny but I don't even pay attention to it any more.

The dealer flashed my truck about a year ago after they told me they wouldn't. The inductive heat flash killed my power and fuel economy. I still get angry when I think about it. Mine is a 2004. I dare not return to that dealer. I would probably do or say something that I would regret. Don't do it. Don't even think about doing it.
I had to buy a second FICM and have it programmed back to old (2003-2004) specs to get some of the original power back. I still don't think that it is as strong as it was when I took it in for a turbo replacement and the tech did this to me. I know that he did it for spite. Here I go starting a rant. Well ,you get the picture of how I feel about the heat flash.

i guess different results from different people, i think maybe they didn't properly flash your vehicle,
I was having all sorts of rough idling issues and poor fuel economy and after the flash it cured my rough idle in morning and eliminated the smoke in the first mile and cured my fuel milage problems.

I'm not sure exactly. But it seems discussion of the latest flash started about 3 or 4 weeks ago.

I have the Inductive Heating flash and all is well. They have a new updated version of it out that isnt suppose to kill FICM's.

I don't know which flash is better.
I can tell you that International programs the VT365s to "buzz" the injectors upon engine shutdown, no inductive heating AFAIK.
And the 2004 6.0 in my signature line below has never had the buzz or the inductive heat flash.
