factory overhrad screen.
1. bluetooth works great.
2. gps works great.
3. Video: sound comes on, but no picture. I removed the radio and saw that all the connection were done correctly from what I can see. I called Kenwood support and they told me that the parking brake wire had to be connected. That wire was connected to the harness that came with the radio.
a. Do I need to have the parking brake on to view the video. If so then I need to try that out before going any further.
4. I ran the rca's to the vcr in the center console from the new radio also. The flip down factory monitor won't work, but there is sound. Next I tried the VHS video in the vcr (had to search high and low to find one) and nothing.
a. Did swapping out the old factory radeo with the left out harnes do something to the system? Kenwood mentioned that it may have cancelled out the old system.
b. If the old system is cancelled then is there RCA plugs from the vcr to the overhead monitor or is it a wierd plug that I can just hook up to the ones from the new radio? that way I can just through away the vcr.
5. Kenwood said the vedio should have played on the overhead monitor no mater what. This is what leads me to believe that in the swap it cancelled something.
I just dont know. I hope this made some sense to the electronic guys here.
thanks in advance,
Al
