Some think so, others don't.... 
I think the pad material is most important. I got some Brembo front rotors for around $80 each and the LTS pads from Hawke for $150... haven't had any problems yet.

It depends...
If you do alot of heavy towing and use your brakes hard the cryo rotors will last about twice as long as regular rotors (at least they have with mine)
I also have them on my race car and they are fantastic there as well...

The USPS cryo-treats their rotors, drums, plus their PADS and SHOES to get four times the life from those components. That means a lot when you have a high-mileage fleet as big as theirs. For me as an individual? That amount of money buys a few sets of rotors & pads ... more than I'll use while I own this truck ... so it's not worth it to me.
