got a battery light on????
have a 00 X with a V10 went to drive home last night. the battery light came on everything still worked. stayed on whole ride home. where do i start looking?

Put your multimeter on the terminals with the engine running and see if the alternator is putting out around 13.2V.
Does it still crank normally or is it kinda slow? If slow, that would mean the battery is on its last legs.
