Hey can someone help me find some slotted rotors for my 99 f-250 2wd. I have four wheel discs and want to put slotted rotors on the front.
Thanks
Stainless Steel Brake, or look in the Summit/Jegs/JC Whitney catalog. Gotta be lots of em available. The slotted are supposed to be better than the old way, the drilled. I suppose a 1/4" of stopping distance may make a difference. We used to actually drill our rotors in the 70's on our motorcycles, cause it looked cool. Did it make us faster ? Probably not, but boy we felt faster,,,, yuk yuk, Ken
Sorry about that I do have a V10 but this really does not belong here.
Not a big deal really. I just want to make sure you get a whole bunch of opinions and info. You'll have better luck in the Super Duty forum. There are more visitors there.
i got a set though keystone auto parts the distributor my speed shop deals with. they had slotted and drilled or both. stay away from the drilled as they tend to crack between the drill holes after a while.. another source is stainless steel brake company you can check there web site as they don't have for every car or truck
Mr. Twissted, I had some Power Slot rotors on my 1998 F-150 - best rotors I've ever driven with. Better than factory. (I tried the Raybestos first - what a joke). The Power Slots were smooth and durable; I would DEFINITELY buy them again and try it for my newer F-250.

Speaking of brakes, here's the bad thing having a V-10, the romp, I love that Indy-car sounds as this baby is winding through the gears, but, you gotta then get 3 or 4 tons of american iron slowed and stopped. I put front brakes on last summer, I'm getting ready to do it again.
BTW, I almost fell for the ultimate scam, so you's guys beware. There's a company sending out fliers, called Brake Team, now Break & Ream to me. Anyway they're offering front and rear brakes at $99.99. Turn rotors, drums, etc. So I stopped by, 3 hours later I get a call; "hey man these brakes are the worst I've ever seen. The piston is into the rotor (NOT possible unless it goes through the pad), the rear cylinders are shot and all the fluid has leaked out, the drums are so cracked and warped I can't turn them. They wanted $1800 to do my brakes. Warning, RIP OFF !! Do NOT go to Brake Team, they're gooners. The guy in front of me paying his bill had the same coupon, his bill was $501. I'm going to call the AG of Wash, and ask if anyone's filed any complaints. What a rip-off operation, stay away ! Ken
