Pcv
Since I'm doing some work on the Ranger, I decided to change the PCV valve. Truck had 139,000 and I don't know if it's ever been changed. The picture on my cd doesn't show a good picture of it's location. Can some one tell me where it's at? Truck is a '00 with the 2.5L and 5 speed manual transmission.

If you have the 2.5 4 cylinder, the easiest way to change the pcv valve is to remove the square electrical box bolted to plenium betweem number 1 and 2 ports. It's easy to reach under plenum with your fingers and pull the pcv up. The hose it is hooked to will bend back to you. Replace pcv and put back in toward hole. Take a long handle screwdriver and turn pcv to align with hole then push in. Replace electrical box and your done.That's a lot easier than trying to get it out from the top.
