Hi all. I know this might not be the place for this, but you guys know a LOT more about diesels than I do so I figured I'd ask.
My buddy just picked up an International with the Navistar dt 466. He's looking at modding the pump for a little more power.
Does anyone here have a favorite forum like this for the Navistar stuff? Or better yet does anyone know where to get a write-up (with pictures hopefully) on how to do take the governor off this thing and mod the pump?
I can help him on the cummins 4bt and 6bt, but I know nothing about the navistar stuff.
Sorry for the "off topic" post, but thanks in advance for any and all help!
That should be a bosch pump. I messed with them a little. What does he want to do to it. Just turn the fuel up? Let me know and i will try to help you.
*edit* I just got off the phone with him and his truck is a 79 so it's got the old (pre 1984) pump on it. He also said the guy that is coming over wasn't just doing the pump mods but a bunch of other stuff, so a little extra time to mod the pump shouldn't be a big deal.
Thanks again
I assume this is the same pump we already talked about. The Model 100 rotary pump......
I would say one big one is to be exempt from next year's emissions crack down. It's not that horrible of a pump, at least it has potential. I've seen a bunch of high flow pumps on pulloff.com . Just dont go too big.
