Does anyone know what this engine was used for? It seems to be related ti a 6.9/7.3 since it is listed as a navistar engine
Sorry DT360

It was used in several medium duty truck applications also off road applications. I am sure you would find it in farm tractors. The DT engine family was originally an Ag engine.

You will find other motors the same way. The B and C series Cummins motors were developed by Cummins and Case for Ag applications.

The 401 and 474 inline 6s that were in some of Fords medium duty trucks in the 80's were an Ag engine. Some people call these the "Brazilian" engines.

Isn't the DT360 the International name for the 6.0 Power Stroke engine?

The D360 and DT360 came out in the early 70's. They came out the same time as the 400 series. We have one set up as a irrigation power unit. They were also put in some tractors such as the 666 and 766, they were also used in the 86 series. I'm not sure when they were put in trucks.

I drive one in a race hauler. S-Series, Lo-Pro, 7-Speed, pushing 26K GVW. Pulls good. Like it a lot.

Race car? Ford, of Course.

would it fit in a F150? I just went to a cruise and noticed that there are no diesel powered trucks there. Think it would be cool to put a diesel into a clasic truck like a 50's or 60's f100.

I don't know the physical size of the motor but it isn't as little as it sounds.

its about the same sise as a DT466 you would probly need a body lift to fit it. Any thing can be made to fit with enough money and fabrication skills.
