on my 94 250 the front shackles are the ones that pivot, but on a superduty the shackles that pivot are on the back, so i have to change my shackle to the back right? i am assuming because the dana 50 is mounted to the frame that they where able to put it on the front, so i have my buddies old superduty shackles that i will put on, what is the proper angle i should have the shackle on. Also for the ubolts that hold the spring and axle together what should i torque the bolts to? and from nuckle to nuckle is the dana 60 and the dana 50 the same width?
What are you trying to accomplish? The SD shackle and the shackles on your truck are entirely different and the SD shackles will not work. Not even close. Look at the shape and the design and you will see that the front swing shackle looks more like a rear shackle used in a rear spring application ("A" style shackle).
You have a question about the Dana 50 and a Dana 60?????
Are you attempting a solid axle swap? which solid axle are you putting in there? Maybe you are keeping the TTB?????
What is the final goal you are attemting to achieve?
sorry i didnt make it very clear, i am swapping in a dana 60. On the 1 ton 94 ford the front rear shackle is the one that pivots, but on the 3/4 ton it is the front shackle that pivots, so i have to change my 3/4 ton shackles around so the pivot is on the back right?
It is a bolt on kit that addresses all of your geometry problems and fixes the front swing shackle issue.
Springs and lift heigth are up to you. Keep in mind that this kit will lift your ride.
