tie rods are shot on my 83 f150. i was wondering if i could use tie rods and pretty much everything in between from an 87 full size bronco... would appreciate the help
Welcome to the 80-86 forum, and forget about what was said to you in the other thread, it just gets old when threads get completly clogged with new threads.
Yes, you can use any parts for your F150 from the 1980-1996 F150/bronco, you might also be able to swap parts from the F250/350's as well but not completely sure bout that, but on most parts the 80-96's are nearly identical.
woah hold on there buddy! if you're looking to use junkyard tie rods tha'd be a bad idea! tie rods are one of those parts that you need to buy new... they're not TOO bad priced at oreillys and are pretty simple to install... my first project on my truck was that, ball joints, shocks, and wheel bearings... took about 2 days (ball joints were stock) but you should be able to get that does easily within about 2 hours...
correct me if i'm wrong on this but thats what i've always been told!
they are not used parts... i bought them a few years ago for my bronco, and i never got around to putting them on..... i am not a mechanic... but i am not stupid.. lol......

Bigdon, when most people ask about the interoperability of parts here, they are looking to get junkyard or used parts.
Don't go getting your feelings hurt, the guys and gals on this forum aren't out to get you. Some people may jump when things aren't done right but it certainly gets annoying when people hijack other threads, or ask redundant questions that have been asked too many times before.
I would like to recommend to everyone that is new to these forums to really read the "Read First" forum topics at the top of each forum category. There is too much information there to miss as well as guidlines for posting here in the forums.
With that said welcome to the forums. There is a lot to learn as well as people who may need to know what you know...
