Hello everyone, I towed to myrtle beach over th weekend and my truck seemed to be down on power. When I got to MB I pulled the codes with my superchips prgmmer and this is the code #01-PO603. the book says ecm kam, or something like that. Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure there is a spot on here to find that I did the search and found nothing.
Thanks jeff
my truck is 01 cc,f=250,srw sb. superchips 1705,tc lockup, boost, egt, and trany gages. wbt mufler, k&n drop in
Welcome to FTE Jeff, that code is a normal code, just telling you there's a chip in the truck, I used to get it all the time with my SC Tuner, no worries. Check your boots for leaks and your fuel filter, might be dirtied up. Also, ditch that K-N drop in fast, you might be dusting your turbo wheel bad and killing your engine. Chase will be bye sometime to show you the pics he has of a K-N not filtering properly..
Mike has you on the right track. Loose the K&N, get the 6637, and the code don't mean nothing. There are better tuners/chips that you can get that will get you way more safe power. I ran the superchip for 4 years, I know what the difference is.
603 KAM = Keep Alive Memory code. It basically signals that the main programing has been defaulted in some way. I.E. a chip, a loaded program, or battery malfunction.
