Well the newly reconfigured dash pod and panel is just about ready for mounting and the new housing for the monster tach is back from paint, it will mount on the dash right above the speedo. The tach bezel just comes over the edge of the dash pad and is even with the shift light housing when assembled. Paint needs one more day to harden before putting it together but here's a teaser shot........
Well as usual it's taking longer than expected! This winter was the bench seat swap for a set of leather buckets (out of a caddy) and it seemed 46 thousand wires for all the controls, then was the reconfigure of the dash and mounting all the gauges and finally the tach housing. I have the shift light mounted to the housing and measuring before drilling for the mounting bolts but this shows the general look on the dash:
The 5" monster tach is anything but tiny . Getting a tight radius 5" manderel bent pipe was a bit of work. Not for everyone but goes with the theme of the truck.
I'll post some pics of the seats in a seperate thread soon. Still trying to finish up the dash install and give the old girl a good cleaning in between being called into work all the time .
I hope you're not short like me! I wouldn't be able to see where I'm going between that and the hood. LOL It looks great though, can't wait to see the seats. That's my next project on my truck, trying to find some awesome seats to put in it. Preferably black leather.
