Ranch Hand bumpers ?

Anyone know approx. what one of these behemoths weighs? I put mine back on this week-end and had to move it from one side of the garage to the other, and I think I dropped a nut LOL! I used a come-a-long with a strap over the joists in the pole barn to hoist it up enough to bolt it back on, but wow is that sucker heavy!

Has to be shipped motor carrier, so it must be heavy. Question, does it block air flow to the coolers and did you do anything to beef up the front shocks or front end?

Add diesel engine and cow catcher, plow package comes into mind.

I would gladly pay for a more expensive shock than a 6k (or more) motor when I bash my first deer.

I don't think it blocks much, I removed the screen in frnt of the rad since I didn't like the looks of it. The truck does have dual front shocks, and I just put new f. springs in last summer. The bottom of the bumper is slightly higher than the trans cooler. I only have the factory water temp gauge. I'll let you know when I drive it on a hotter day if the tranny goes above 155-160 which is where it usually runs. Definately a heavy duty bumper, sorry to hear about your accident Bevis. Hope everyone was OK.( including your truck!)

My Reunel is very similar and I believe it weighs around 350 pounds. Definitely hernia inducing weight if you're working solo!

I was thinking 350-400, and I was solo. I'd have thrown that over my shoulder when I was a bit younger

My wife rearended a 08 1500 chevy cc at about 35mph (why I have the new trk) 3 weeks ago with a 99 voyager mini van and totaled both. The chevy frame bent like butter.

Looked it up on their site 114 or 117 pounds, I'm sure it feels like a hell of a lot more due to the width and height. (plus the no scratchie scratchie carefull install)

That's the grille guard weight, the bumpers are in the 260-280 pound range. Glad I went with OffRoadTech for my winch bumper, only 185 pounds

Yeah, I like yours more than mine but mine came with the truck. I think I can live with it!
