I have a 2005 F350 with a 6.0 PSD and it has the electronic climate control option but recently what has happened is I can control the temp. of the air no problem and and I can control what vents it blows out of but no matter what speed I set the fan on it always blows on high and if I push the off button rather than switching the fan off it switches to defrost and blows on full speed. And I have already switched out the climate control module with one from a truck that is working correctly and that didn't make a difference so I don't think that the problem is with the control module. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks in advance for your help.
I have the EXACT same problem. I tried disconnecting the batteries to see if it would reset itself but does not. I also drive an 05 6.0. Would love to get this thing fixed!

Well luckily for you I have solved it. If you open your hood and look on the passenger side of the engine compartment you will see the A/C condenser and almost right behind it there is a black box that has a part number on it and it has a plug the plugs into the bottom of the box and it is mounted on what I believe is the vacuum pump. If you have a hard time finding which box it is let me know and I can post a picture of it later tonight. But it is that controller box that is bad and there is 2 options, you can replace that box which is somewhere are $50 or you can repair that box here is a link that kind of explains how to fix it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...wer-issue.html
Good luck to ya, Let me know how it goes
Thanks for the response! I also found another thread right after my original post that found solution but only to replace it and not fix the diode. I called my local dealer and they wanted $95.00 for the 3CH-19E624-AA Blower Motor Speed Controller.
So I got this part in and it did not work as it was not for the actual climate control.
I have since purchased the blower motor controller part number (revised) 6C3Z-19E624-AA and immediately fixed the problem. Cost me $111.34 with tax but the fan control is operational again.
