Thanks for the advice. I had my plasma torch and MIG in handWasnt going to touch box just do a fill in on frame then re-drill 1/2 in holes in same matching pattern on box with box alinged to steering column. Not a good idea hea?What is this you speak of alining with a pin? I must admit I have never heard of it on a manual tranny.

There is a small bracket on the end of your column ,a small pin 3/16 will slide though the
bracket and though the (Column Linkage Levers ) , First Loosen the Linkage on you trans
Make sure both trans levers are in( Neutral ) ,with the 3/16 pin//or drill bit push though the
( BRACKET and THOUGH the HOLE ) in the (Column shift levers) now crawl under and
Tightened the ( NUTS on your trans lever linkage !
Woops lets move foward. I have another post on asking how to remove the steering column. Sorry. Delete this one please. My Dads going to be driving it so no comprimise...it has to be done right! I am ashamed I was going to the Dark Side.
