Can anyone provide the step-by-step procedure for replacing the indicator lights that are within the leather wrapped steering wheel?
I appreciate your help.

2000 Ranger, 4L
When I bought my 2001 Ranger 4.0L 5spd manual, short bed regular cab, the lights on the steering wheel didn't work. I never noticed until someone in this forum asked about it.
My truck got a recall notice and I mentioned to Ford, when I took it in, that there were some dash lights not working and could they replace the bulbs. They suggested that they replace all the dash bulbs. When I got the truck back the lights on the steering wheel worked. I think I remember paying 80 for the repair, or it might have been 500.
I knew that I could rely on ya'all. Your point-to-point writeup, Rockledge, is the kind of guidance that I need. Of particular interest is the CarDomain writeup that you forwarded. Wouldn't it be great if manuals were written that well? I'm adding CarDomain to my Cars & Trucks Favorites folder.
Thank a lot.
PS:
I don't know why I originally posted as a 2000 Ranger. It's a 2001.
