when i am going down the highway and attempt to pass its pretty often the truck will stick at about 2500 rpm wont shift and smokes like a chimney.... any ideas?

new truck...take it in should be under warranty. Sounds to me like several issues wrapped up into one. Could be a EGR issue, TCM issue or DPF/Sensor issues.

Based upon your discription it sounds like the engine is limiting the power because of an issue it is detecting.

Any check eng lights or the wrench symbol in the message center?

no no check engine lights or warnings. its like when i get on it to pass it hits 2500 stalls out and smokes then i let off throttle it shifts and it will take on off again like normal
