Running board lights all out?

Of course I checked the fuse first (#14), but it is fine (it also controls a bunch of other stuff the DOES work).

I removed one light and it is OK. So what next? I did some searches and zippo.

Any help would be great!

Tony

Did they all go out at the same time? I have a fix for them in here if they didn't. Check all your fuses.

Some one might have added a separate switch for that. There is a mod floating in here where some have added a switch to be able to turn off the interior lights and running board lights so they don't go on everytime you open the doors. Works well for when you go camping. The other thing could be a short and you could be blowing a different fuse. They seem to have a bundle of things not listed on any of the manuals of the different things that are plugged into each fuse. I would check each one in the fuse box. I know it is a pain, but trust me I have done it many a time now myself and have only owned for a little over 1 year.

i just bought the truck so the lights were all out when I got it.

I am going to check every fuse. BTW I don't see any random switch for them so I am thinking:
a. other fuse (I hope)
b. loose/bad wire

I'd say all your plugs are corroded... There is a thread about this somewhere here -- I just don't remember where...

I have searched for this mod (switched interior lighting)...do you know where it may be?

Here is the link that I found and used. Pay attention to post #15, because that is where I ended up finding the wires to splice into with the switch. (under the passenger kick panel) Also attatched is the switch that I used and the mounting location. Very easy to do and mount.
