Hey Guys!
I just picked up a 2000 F-250 with a powerstroke. Its got 80k miles and guess what Im doing....the oil pan Well anyways I plan on running 33's with a 2-3 inch lift. Any kits or brands you guys would suggest? Do you think lifting it 2-3" will cause big problems with a snowplow? Can you run stock suspension w/ 33's? Sorry for all the questions guys but I appreciate any responses!!! thanks!
didn't these things come stock with 33's? or at least the other measurements equivalent.i know 05's were stock with 33's. so either save the money on the lift and just put on some 33's or do a 2-3" and get some 35's. either option shouldn't cause any concern for plowing.
Stock on this truck was 235-86-16s optional i believe was 265-75-16's and I am looking at 275-75-16s. For the winter I would be going back down to 235's for plowing. Any advice on a 2"-3" lift kit to use?
If you don't want to go real high but want to clear 35" tires I'd suggest a leveling kit. They have the longer shackle style or the mini spring pack style, either works well. I did the longer shackles in the front and clear 35" XTerrains on 17" rims fine. I only ran 265/75R16's at stock height, but it seemed like 33" tires would clear fine.

Just a note here. You need to pull the engine to replace the oil pan. You really need to turn the engine up side down to get it right. Good luck.
I maintain a small fleet, about 12 trucks of 7.3s between 97-2000's I pull the trans/transfer case jack up the motor and out the pan comes. Anyways 33" tires should clear stock ride height no problem? Ill have to look into the leveling kit
You can clear 33s in stock form (if it's a 4x4, don't know about the 4x2). The trucks came stock with almost 32s for the 99-03 time frame (it's actually around 31.6" or 31.8" height for 265/75-16).
I am currently running 315's on stock ride height and only rubs when i cut deep. There is a small clean spot the leafs on both sides of the truck. But going with longer shackles as soon as i can get them. COUGH...COUGH (Ziggy!!!!!!)
