I'm still dealing with the after effects of crappy dealership work and I found a broken ground strap. It's the one to the right of the computer on the firewall. Can someone tell me where the other end should connect? They snapped it off and just must it down behind the intake manifold.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I see it going down toward the transmission. If no one else helps with this by tomorrow I'll crawl under mine and see where it actually terminates when I'm wearing my grubs.
Thanks! I connected to the valve cover bolt but I don't think thats any good since its aluminum? No goo d ground there.
Alumininum is a great conductor. No problem with that. I got under my truck today, and can't find that strap comming down from where I thought it should. I'll need a helper to tug on it from above to see it move.
However I think there are a lot of redundent ground staps on todays vehicles. If everything is working correctly, including your audio, then I woldn't worry too much about it.
Thanks! I appreciate the assistance. The dealer has broken so many items on my truck that it's crazy. Ford won't do anything becasue they say its a WORKMANSHIP issue! If I didn't really like my truck, I would be driving something different right now because of the issues. I'm still dealing with the P0305 error that no one so far can figure out why. Injector, plug and COP have been replced.
