the TS chips are good for a stock truck, but if you went with a TW chip and decide to upgrade parts in the future he reburns it for free you just have to pay the shipping. With a TS chip you upgrade parts it'll cost you 150 to reburn it for the upgrades. 235 is not a bad deal, but I have seen them cheaper. I think Ron86toy was selling his for 125. Might of sold it by now, but I would also check the classifieds here for one.

I have a buddy with a TS chip on his '99 SD and he loves it... stock except for a cat delete and it rolls smoke all day.

I've heard a whole lot of good things about TW chips but they are a bit more money. Still debating which one to get for mine once I get guages and a downpipe

I have been considering the fact that if you buy the chip and send ti to tony the you are only out $385, for a 6 position chip, but if you get one from him with 6 positions it runs alot more $$$, so would it not make sense to buy one and send it to him?? or are his chips that much better??

I don't know if he is or not. I need to have mine reburned. On his site it mentions calling before you send chips in for reburns. I think he's still tuning the chips, but for everything else is being handled by someonelse.

If you can get a deal on a TS chip, grab it and send it to TW for a reburn. You won't go wrong that way, and won't lose any benefit of not having a TW chip. The only difference will be the TS chip won't have Total Diesel Performance printed on it.

Tony has no intention of getting out of the tuning business. I happen to know the "someone else" handling things while Tony focuses his priorities on his daughter. You'll still get Tony's tunes, and won't lose any of the customer service with this "someone else" Live tuning would be the only thing that would suffer right now. Just use the contact info on TW's site. Don't send anything to the old address for the time being.

I don't expect there to be any problems, but if anyone has issues with getting a chip burned from TDP, send me a PM. I've got some back door contact info I can check up on your order status for you.
