Hi guys. I'm not usually down in this forum but I have a question about the gas tanks in these things and I figured you all would know.

I am looking to use a BII gas tank in the rear of one of my trucks. Someone told me the tanks were offered stock in both plastic and metal, but all the ones I have come across are metal. Did they come in plastic? Anybody have a plastic tank in their truck?

I have seen many Bronco IIs and I have never seen a plastic one OEM. I have used the plastic tanks from JCW, no problems.

 

I know of no OEM stock factory equipped BII with a plastic gas tank. I have seen aftermarket plastic replacement ones on JCW and other sites.

thanks but it looks like your tanks are metal. Since most of the metal tanks have a galvanized type coating I can't use them with diesel fuel. That is why i am looking for a PLASTIC (poly or whatever it is) tank.
