Ok now my side mount gas tank is leaking. I can find side mount tanks online no problem, but they arent for supercabs...
I'd really like to put a plastic fuel tank under it to keep it from rusting out again in these crappy wisconsin winters (my truck is my daily driver).
Are there any plastic tanks available for my truck? Or do I have to go get a metal one?
My truck is a '78 supercab 2wd longbed camper special. It has dual tanks. It doesn't have and never did have any EEC stuff on it. My mid tank I THINK is 22.5 gallons. My rear I THINK is 19 gallons.
Will midship tanks from standard cabs fit my truck? From what I've seen the answer is no so why won't they fit?
Midship standard cab tanks wont fit because the area of the frame where they mount is completely different between the standard cab and supercab chassis.
No plastic tanks available to my knowledge. In '07 I had to restore my midship tank in my supercab due to the fact that I could not find a new replacement anywhere. Mine was full of rust, after a very thorough cleaning I sealed it with the POR-15 tank sealer kit ...so far so good
