HEY GUYS WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND GETTING A REASONABLY PRICED ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP KIT FOR MY TRUCK? I HAVE A LEAKING STOCK PUMP AND AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD SWITCH TO ELECTRIC? DO THE THE ELECTRIC PUMPS COMPETLY GET RID OF THE STOCK PUMPS?
Altho quite pricey they do indeed get rid of the mechanical pump. You might try: dieselsite.com (I think that is the link, if not someone will correct me)
Beans sells a raptor kit which sounds like it is a full kit but i'm not sure. I am thinking about this kit since it is close to the price of a factory pump.
HIGH END Gearotor Pump Featuring:
- A built in ADJUSTABLE REGULATOR, No Return Line Needed
- 15/16,000 hour Electric Motor
- Flow Rates of 100 GPH & 150 GPH
- VacU Seal Technology (Shaft Seals Under Vacuum Instead Of Pressure for Long Life)
- Wire Screen in Inlet Port for Added Protection
- Complete Installation Kit With: No Drill Mounting Bracket, Wiring Harness, AND
1/2” Big Line Fuel Lines are Standard.
I did my own electric fuel system, I like it. If you don't want to have to spend a lot of money I would say either replace your mechanical fuel pump, or do your own electric fuel system. I have less than 500 in my fuel system.

That's not for a PSD, it's a lift pump for a Cummins or D-Max and is only good for about 20 psi.
Bean does sell a complete system for an OBS but it's not cheap.
ok first pre-filter/water sep. FM100 part # 33640 from the Diesel store
post filter base - 24770
post filter - 33528
got these at Fleet Filter.com
Fuel Pump- 834GSL392 from Full Throttle speed.com
Regulator- Aeromotive 13109 from Summit.
The Regulator has 6AN threads.
I used a 6AN to a 3/8 barb for the return to the tank
And used 6AN to 4JIC fittings for the heads and re-used the existing stock hoses from the heads.
For the Supply I used 3/8 push lock fittings and hoses from filter and pump set-up.
Used a Air Hose 3 way I got @ Lowes. 3/8 into the 3-way and have (2) 1/4 hoses that run and attach the metal lines that are already going to the back of the heads.
Electrical I used wire I had laying around to wire it up but did get a fuel pump relay from Summit. If you search other threads you'll find the wiring diagram for it. Some have also used a relay and fuse out of a junk yard truck to make the wiring have a more factory look.
Some people have also used braided AN hose and fittings to do there fuel systems, but you'll spend more money on that. It might look a little better, but I wasn't after looks I was after function. I am very happy with the electric set-up.
