fuel prob i think

I think the prob with my truck not starting is theat it is not getting fuel
i drained the fuel bowl turned the key on and turnd it over went back to the fuel bowl and was still dry
my ? is is there 1 or 2 fuel pumps
is 1 right below the turbo?
or is it low on drivers side of engine
I followed the fuel lines from the tank switch the 1 for front & rear tanks and it went to the driver side of engine

Ther is only one pump it is in the valley at the bottom behind the fuel bowl assembly in front of the turbo. The easiest way to look at it, is to pull the "y"pipe snd then lokk straight down behind the fule bowl and you should see it. It has on metal line coming ou the back and two rubber lines on the front going towards the fuel bowl and the FPR.

check the FPR Screen, not saying that is the problem, but it's worth a look.

The screen in inside the fuel filter/water separator. A smallish hole on the driver side. Clean with a q-tip with the cotton ball cut off.

To test fuel pressure there is a schrader valve on the right side of the fuel filter housing you can put a fuel gauge on get someone to crank it over to see if there is any pressure.

Also how much fuel do you have in your tanks? I have read a few times on here about the pickup in the tank falling apart or the screen on the bottom of the fuel tank gumming up with crud.
