What the ??
We have a tranny thats been sitting round the shop here. And for the life of me I cant remember what she came out of. Its a automatic that I know for sure. Can anyone explain how I can Identify this beast

Is it a 3 speed? Sounds like a C-6. It's the only Ford auto I know of with a 17 bolt square-ish pan, other than the AOD, but that has an odd shaped pan. The AOD is a 4-speed. Hope that helps.

If you have an LMC catalogue(800-222-5664)--look on page 9 and they show the different bolt patterns for the ford auto tranny's---If you don't have one ---then call'um up and they'll send you one , fd
