That isn't bad offer, I will give you that, however, when you look at their brochure and it mentiones(of course this is on a 7.3 even though they are hocking it to us) that the person getting the oil analysis went 60k+ on his oil changes(no that wasn't a typo 60K + on oil changes) and I'm going to want a helluva lot more then just money back for the purchase price if that goes to crap. They actually hock that point as well, but they only have one vehicle that went thru oil analysis that supposedly went that long between changes and that was on a 7.3 as well. There were other issues with that analysis that made it hard to definatively show what they were trying to prove.

I tried their product a few years back.
I added it at the time of an oil change (entire bottle) and ran it for 5,000 miles.
I then sent in a sample of my oil for analysis to see what if anything changed (good or bad).
The anlaysis came back just like always... which was that my motor was good and all is well.
I was not having any issues I was trying to solve/correct, but was hoping it would at least "clean everything up". I have no idea if it did or did not?
Because of my oil analysis (before and after adding Hotshot Additive) I do not see or believe that it would do anything harmful, but for me I saw nothing improve... but then again my motor is stock and running fine.
I also use Rotella-Syn 5W-40 motor oil and I am a true believer that any brand of 5W-40, API certified CJ4 diesel oil is just fine to use and that synthetic's just are a cleaner oil to use due to being so highly refined and purified (versus dino oil). I think that long-term use of synthetic oil in the 6.0L is what our motors need to keep it clean and keep the injectors from sticking? I have no proof of that, but just my perception of the entire issue.
Thanks,

You know, I am wondering for those(at the time of this post there is only 1 though) that have noticed a difference what is the gauge for which you are measuring that difference? Is it something that is objective or is it a highly subjective measure that might actually mean no difference at all if you were to factor in another variable that happened at the same time(one of the primary reasons why I don't like basing decisions on testimonials alone)?
It would just be interesting on how the "difference" was "measured".

That has happened quite a bit with Dan and Chris to some point, Dan is the worse about it.
We would as for more proof and they would say"Ok we will send it off to the lab" or whatever, and then two weeks later nothing happens.
I don't know if you remember KW's thread about them removing a testimonial that was on their site that he did not intend it to be a testimonial and they used it without his permission and it took a couple weeks or more before they actually removed it and they said it was because of the webmaster took so long, which I find a little hard to believe, if it took "him" that long then they need to find a new one to deal with.
There are a lot of issues that I have, as you can probably tell. I'm all for stuff like that, I just want more to make me feel comfortable with it doing what they say it will and that 60k between oil change crap demands more proof on our engine specifically since they are all the time in this forum hocking that "stuff" and it shouldn't be that hard to have testing on our engine specifically and have it available at a moments notice. There is really little excuse on how they do some things.
But I get off topic, I'm very passionate of my opinion on this matter if it isn't obvious.
