Ok need help figuring this out. When accelerating lightly I can feel the driveline feel like it shifts to the rear. When I come to a very slow/light stop I can feel the drive line shift forward. Of course when I accel/decel harder it hits harder but don't always feel it. Father in law thought it might have had something to do with the pinion. Today I felt it shift to the rear when accelerating from a stop and here a clunk in the rear, I've heard this sound once before when accelerating from a stop.
I'm probably going to take it to a shop but would much prefer figuring it out myself to save money. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Looks like I need bearing grease but I don't really have a problem with the clunk noise just the feeling of it moving. I'm sure it needs to be done anyway though.
