You have to remove the PCM from the firewall to get this number..Consider it a test run for when you install the DP..Make SURE the keys are NOT in the ignition when doing this!
The PCM is located on the drivers side of the truck under the fuse panel in the cab. You have to remove the pcm to see the code. There is also another mwthod that I ended up using. The connector that goes through the firewall to the pcm has the code on it. Take a flash light and an inspection mirror and you can read the code off the side of the connector. It is facing the drivers side fender

I found it easier to spend 10 minutes pulling the PCM to see the code, but that's me.
We all know you just couldn't figure it out backwards in the mirror.
