One thing I noticed is, when stuff like this happens, its funny how cool and collected I get after a few Miller Lites. Things seem to go smoother after the first 6-7 of them. Or maybe I don't give a chit any more.

The socket is at the bottom of the pulley whell in between where the 2 bottom bolts are and is right in between them.

Got an air compressor ?
If so , blow air behind / under the pulley.
May move it so you can get it.

Great idea, I have a compressor at work. I'll try that tonight.

When I was installing my new 6.0L IC, I dropped one of the radiator bracket screws downinside the hollow radiator support frames... talk about a booger to fish out with that darned telescoping magnet, but we finally got it out without having to completely remove the support frame member.

It's also good for cooling off your finger after you burned it.
I know bad waste of beer but its all I had at the time. Yes there is a story behind it.
Beer is great for washing down those advil after you have been laying on top of your powerstroke for a couple hours trying to change your WW as well.

Yep, thats when I do my best thinking and planning, after/while drinking some of that yellow pop. I make all kinds of plans with great ideas.

If only I could remember the plans the next day.

Back in college I was renting a nice little pad that was pretty far away from campus but I got my own shop and a nice little lake right out front of it.

This property taught me many things and even some of my friends.

First off, when you get a ton of rain your shop will flood. If your vehicle is on jacks move it before flood waters rise. When water does consume the shop know this, your common tool set will stay at the bottom. Your expensive torque wrenches in those nice little plastics cases.........will float away. And the ******* who lives across the pond will probably not return them when he finds them in his yard next to your spare tire and other floating shop items.

I watched my friend teach me this one. He got mad and decided to turn around and throw his old water pump out the shop door amid a big project before race weekend.

First off, if you are going to toss something, don't aim for a deep body of water.
Second off, if you are going to throw something out of the shop, MAKE SURE YOU WON'T NEED IT AGAIN.
Third, if you can't swim, don't throw important things into the lake.
Fourth, 5.0 water pumps are hard to find at the bottom of muddy lakes.

I have a couple of extension magnet tools but when I saw a Craftsman with and LED light right in the middle of the magnet I had to get it. It works great as just a small light for those places down in the valley that are hard to light up, or anyplace that is hard to get a large light into.

I was on sale for $14.99. Pricey but worth it. I use it as an extendable light more then a magnet.

I drove about 2 miles up the road and heard a "PING!" sound and saw something shiny go flying out from under the truck. Bye bye 10mm!
You mean to tell me install isn't as simple as removing the 2 tiny bolts from the pcm under the drivers side dash and pulling it from there and removing the cover to install the tuner

Nope, there is a bolt under the hood that hold the wiring harness to the PCM. You can't slide that cover off with the PCM in the truck.
