SCT need help

I got my SCT from innovative today. I grabbed my strategy and since it is 9pm I wanted to use one of the pre loaded files to try it out. It will not work. Any help is appreciated. Did they disable it or do I have to register it on SCT website first?

the fact that it lights up, you can read the strategy, and it doesn't load a tune is very strange...which model SCT do you have? SF3(pre-loaded) or X3(custom tunes)?

it is the X3 but the box it came in say's X3 Ford pre-loaded / custom tuning pcm flash tool.

regardless of what the box says, do you have the "pre-programmed" and "custom tune" option screen when you go to tune the truck?

if you've sent Eric the strategy, you'll have custom tunes very soon anyway..

no.. when I plug into the truck I have 2 options... "strategy tune" or "custom tune"...

guess i'll have to have patience

what exactly is very soon. It's a day later and still no email with my tunes.

Can I download tunes from somewhere else to try this thing out?

I can't believe with all the hype surrounding this SCT that I have one sitting in front of me and I cannot use it. I have patience but it's slowly starting to fade.


what gives with this company?

I break my butt getting the arp studs installed, liberator egr delete in to bolster the engine, recieve the tuner in the mail just to use as a $400.00 paperweight. Hey...... At least I can clear the egr code that the liberator delete kit throws though.

I'm about to put a stamp on the box and stick it back in the mail.

I don't own one yet, but I heard Eric is the guy who will help you, no matter what it takes. I know it must be nerve racking but be patient.

Stupid question, but have you called him?

have you called innovative? they might have two customers today you know.... google spartan tunes archive and there are some tunes that you can download. if you use innovative and sct websites you should be able to get live load up and running and tunes loaded

also remember that bashing a sponsor and or a respected parts company is a great way to get alot of peoples feathers ruffled. always make a good effort to contact them by phone, email and even pm them here. also remember that at times they might be completely swamped with customers calls and vehicles. most companies value all customers and potential customer but are not always able to give every single person 100% i have talked with the guys at innovative and am extremely happy i didnt get a automated line. i would say as a rule of thumb if you dont get service in a week then it would be acceptable to start throwing a fit. i know that it is a long time to wait for new toys but maybe you can get something going in the mean time

I apologize... My NY patience ran out overnight. The tunes were in my email this morning and I loaded the street tune into my truck.

This may be a really dumb question but am I supposed to really feel a noticable difference in power because I have to honestly say I do not. Maybe I did something wrong?

depends on how hard you're into it...all of his tunes that i've experienced let loose at 3/4 throttle or more...this gives you great streetability and power is there when you want it..

the street tune is a moderate tune and you can even tow up to 5000#'s with it IIRC..

his strongest tunes start with "Xtreme"...

if you haven't felt the power then you haven't punched the throttle. start off at a dead stop and push the pedal to the floor. once the boost is built you should feel the power.
