Looking at a replacement clutch and here's what have in mind to be used on a Hays 30lb steel flywheel. Either a Centraforce II, Centraforce dual friction, or a hays comp clutch.
Anyone have any recommendations. Want one for daily driving, towing, and some offroading. thank for any suggestions.
Go w/ an LUK clutch. I got mine thru a tranny shop but i've heard pep boys sells 'em. It is MUCH better than the Centerforce I i had in there before, a lot more holding power and grabs like a champ.
Also one thing I would like to consider is that I might be getting a ZF tranny soon. Do they both use the same clutch for the 302, or at least the same pressure plate and flywheel. Also what price range should I be looking at. Plan on high power rebuild and going in with motor so it will be a while till I decide, thanks for any info.
I think all of the cluthes and preassure plates are the same (except for diameter). I went from a Mazda M5OD to a NP435 and only had to change the throw out bearing. And that was because it went from an internal to an external slave.
