For the last week or so I have noticed a "squishing" sound coming from the brake pedal when I apply the brakes. I have also noticed brake fluid leaking out of the brake fluid reservoir cap a couple of times... like "puking". I had the brake pads replaced a few weeks ago. Could this just be air in the brake lines from improper bleeding or is the hydro boost going south?
1. If it's coming out of the cap, check and see if it is seated properly.
2. Sounds like the brakes were not properly bled. Air in lines.
I am a home bred do it yourselfer but that's what the symptoms sound like to me.
Thanks for the reply! The cap is seated properly. I'm hoping its air in the lines and not the hydroboost. I called the parts dept. and they said a new one is $675.00.... ouch!
how many inches would you say you have to depress the pedel on a normal stop to come to a complete halt say coming down from 55 mph....bc i had my hydrobooster replaced the breaks felt a little better.....had my belt tensioner replaced after that and my break were very responsive, then my serpentine belt went had that replaced and they feel mushy again...at least i guess they have been this way i dont even know if its normal i probably have to depress the peddle 2-3 inches for the truck to stop.
