The main reason I moved from my Tahoe to the 7.3l X is to tow my boat. Right now I keep the boat in a marina, but I start trailering it soon. Not any large distances, just to the boat ramp (in and out).
The boat is a 32' Sea Vee with twin 300 Mercury Verados. Not sure if many guys on here on into boats, but it's a pretty nice ride. It has JL Audio throughout, which most of you I am sure familiar with. 2 - 10" Subs, 6 - Component 7.7" and 2 JL amps. It rocks.
I live in Miami. It's pretty nice down here. If get in my boat and head 50 miles east, I am in the Bahamas.
Yes, this is the same boat as Jose Wejebe "The Spanish Fly" on ESPN except that his is a 34 with trips, mine is a 32 with twins. Same boat, same motors.
I hope you have the same kickin' JL Audio system in your boat as he has in his. That made the rough trip to the Tortugas a lot more bearable. Those SeaVEEs are some sweet boats.
Thats a tight boat! I love center consoles. You need to post some pics of the excursion hooked up to the see vee. I may have a new back round out my comp then! lol
Whats top end on it, and how long does it take to get to the Bahamas?
Top end is 59mph lightly loaded.
I cruise anywhere from 35-45 depending on sea conditions and load. At cruise I am burning 1.2-1.5 MPG (combined both motors)
To get to Bimini, the first island of the Bahamas, it takes me under 2 hours. If I wanted to waste fuel I am sure I can do it in under and hour.
