Hope someone has an idea. I drove my 6.0L f-350 home and it ran fine. I then got up to go to work truck; turns over no start. Checked fuel, has lots of pressure, went and got a scanner from auto parts store and plugged it in. It has no codes, no data, no power. I figured it was the scanner so I tried it in the '08 G8 gt Pontiac and it works fine. Can you tell me if this obd2 scanner should work in both? If so, is there a fuse on the 6.0L that could be blown causing no reading no start?
FICM most likely. Hope your under warranty. Run a search for FICM there is a video around here somewhere of what it will sound like. Sometimes it will just crank and othertimes it will crank and partially fire.
If its an 05+ and it just cranks most likely your STC fitting.
