I just bought a SCT SF3 and every time i try to upload a tune i get a TBC fault and it wont let me uploadI have a 06 250SD 6.0 i never towed anything and dont understand what that has to do with putting a tune in my truck??Thanks for any info
Are you using the canned tunes or custom? How is the TBC not letting you upload? Is the SCT saying the upload failed? Might want to give SCT a call if you are using canned tunes since they are the ones who wrote them.
Im using canned tunes right now.I called SCT and they said my truck is not connecting with the scanner and its on my end thats pretty much all they had to say.So i dont know if i have wire issues or what?I was hoping someone else had this problem but with my luck im the only one!!!Truck runs fine.
I hook the tuner up it goes thru its thing i select program vehicle turn key on turn key off as it says brings up 6.0L diesel press continue it says begin programming hit select it says turn key on i do that it starts to upload thats when things mess up the message center beeps and says TBC Fault programmers says uploading please wait but nothing happens i let it on for over a 1/2 hour today and nothing.Programmer does not say error just the truck says TBC Fault??????????
hmmm. I'm not familiar with how the SF3 uploads, but does it get to a certain percentage or is it getting all the way to the end and then it displays the TBC fault? And it does this with all tunes? Maybe ask SCT to send you some other tunes? Are there any other electrical mods done to your truck? I find it hard to believe that the OBDII port is bad or there is a wiring fault.
