uppipe upgrade

I am repairing a leaking donut on my son's 95 powerstroke. (again) I replaced my uppipes with international bellowed, is this upgrade available for under $800.00???? What are some of you doing to fix this issue? Can I upgrade to newer turbo and adapt the mewer style uppipes? Clay @ riffraff can get a good price on those. I am sure this has been posted before but I was unable to get results through the search feature. Thanks ahead of time.

You can get 2 braided belows from here:
Vibrant Performance Stainless Steel Flexible Coupling

Get the 2" dia, 4" long, Interlocked (not just braided, you want interlocked for up pipes) for $26 each. Cut a section of up-pipe out, weld on the expansion joints, and weld the flange to the pipe. No more leaks for about $60 and some welding...

Thanks that looks like an affordable option. Can you upgrade the turbo and everything around it to the early 99? Even add the inner cooler? If so what year donor truck should I look for?

Thats what I did with my pipes. You might want to start with new pipes. The gasket cuts into the pipes and makes it hard for the new ones to seal.
And watch where you put them stainless joints they are larger in diameter than the pipe and can rub against the motor.

Any chance you have pictures of this? I like this idea seeing as how I don't have 2k to drop on a later model turbo and pedestal, plus bellowed uppipes at 800... holy potato! I got a 97 with the leaking collector gaskets, and I'm looking for a good solution to fix it. I'm hopefully going to be doing this next week so if you do have pics of this, I would really appreciate it. cool idea! I understand the cutting the uppipes and welding on this flexpipe deal, but what I don't understand is how you got it to clamp onto the collector...

I used the brass donuts from Beans and the directions say to retighten them after a warm up cycle. I don't see or know of any way that can be done without taking the turbo back off?!?!?!? I just tighten the hell out to them the first time and so far, so good.

You could, but why? E99 bellowed pipes are just as hard to find and expensive as OBS parts. I'd go with what Jim posted... seems like a great (and affordable... so long as you can weld) option.
