Rob here, new owner of a 2009 F150 Lariat, black on black. I got about 500 miles on it and absolutely love it. I never owned a ford before, but from what I researched, this 2009 takes the cake. I'll be around more often.
Some aftermarket stuff I want to do to my truck:
-Exhaust (flowmasters?)
-Intake
-Tint
Not sure what else but I'll get some pics up soon.
Congrats on the new truck man! Welcome to the site.
Some thoughts on the exhaust: Flowmasters do sound pretty good. I had a Flowmaster SI/DO on my '01. However, the rumor around here is that the stock muffler on the '09 is a straight flow-through design. Assuming that is true, the stock muffler would probably have less resistance than a Flowmaster since Flowmasters have baffles. I would lean towards an aftermarket muffler that is a flow-thru as well like Magnaflow, Borla, etc.
Got Mine tinted the 2nd day I had it... but mine is the XL Crew cab, all that glass with no factory tint, it needed something...
I've been very pleased with the factory exhaust... driving with the windows down, you get to hear the throaty exhaust... very pleasing to the ear... IMO
i just bought one too. i love it. but i noticed mine has a small tick in the top end does yours do this too. i know its normal in the dodges. probably normal for the fords too.
