2x4 to 4x4 conversion
Hey guys just got a couple questions. I have an '89 F250 single cab 2x4 and want to convert it to 4x4. I can get a donor truck (92 ext cab F250 4x4) for a thousand bucks will everything bolt up from the one to the other? Also does engine size matter? Mine is a 460 and the other is ???? (haven't gone and looked at it yet). Both vehicles are automatics, I can call and get specifics on the motor if it does matter. I'd like to get started on this project fairly soon, lemme know if it would be problematic and/or worth my time.

This isn't a simple parts swap.. what I mean is the brackets for the suspension are riveted on so it'll be harder than it looks. The BB and SB transmissions have different bolt patterns too so that tranny won't bolt to your 460 if the truck had a 5.0 or 5.8.
