88 & 93 frame question (trailer hitch) F-150

So is the 88 frame and the 93 frame the same as to bolting in a trailer hitch?

I know sounds crazy but I have an 88 hitch and 93 truck, need to make sure the hitch will fit the 93.

Thanks

Nothing easier to find out then to hold it up there and see if any holes line up. You might have to drill one or two, but if you have to drill anymore than that, probably need a different hitch.

If the truck has never had a hitch before, then you will need to drill all holes. I had to drill six when I bought my receiver hitch.

Aside from test-fitting it, the easiest way is to look up the part numbers for a hitch for both trucks. If they are the same, you know the hitch will fit both trucks.

Oh really? I thought that they were pre-drilled like all the other holes in the frame... My mistake, thanks andy for clearing that up.

Do most of those bolt to the bottom of the frame rails or sides?

I got a big 10500 # hitch from a chevy van but need to modify the brackets to fit my F-150.
