door stuck shut

maybe someone can give me a clue on how to get my stupid door open, I have manual locks so this should be easy, but you know how that goes, saturday i lock the doors on my truck when we go out that night and when I come back it will not open, I used the key, jiggled the lock, and jiggled the handle inside, and jiggled more than one at a time to try to get my door open, I pulled the weather strip off the top of the panel so i could look down but I have yet to find a good way to get it to release, and I can't get the door panel itself off until I open the door,, it acts like the locking mechanism is stuck half way between lock and un-lock because to lock **** on the top will not fully go into the lock or un-lock position, ssssoooo does anyone have idea what the crap I have broken?? and how do I get my crazy door open??? just short of cutting it off with a saw-zall and putting on a new door!!

I'd recommend using a pick to open the flap on the keyhole, and spraying penetrant into the keyhole. Stick the key in, and try to work it. Repeat three or four times before kicking door. If you can get to it, lift the interior handle and squirt at the joint of that too. It sounds like the latch is what really needs it, but maybe this will get it open so you can get to the latch.

I just did this to mine because my key didn't work in the door, and I was breaking off handles inside. Now it's all like butter...

Hope it opens!

You can remove the lock tumbler set by removing the retainer, #20 in the picture below. You will need to make tool that can slide it out. I use a pick that's bent 90º in 2 places.

The retainer is removed from the outside of the truck. You can get it through the gap between the door and lock pillar. Once the key tumbler has been pulled out of the door you can reach inside and unlock the door with a long narrow pick. Sometimes just pulling on the tumbler opens the door. Good luck.

four doors once again!!! well after much jiggling and spraying of the lubricant I finally got my door open!!! I took the time to try and ensure that it doesn't happen again in the near future and lubed the other doors as well so I don't have any more surprises anytime soon, thanks to all!! especially cuda_jim for providing the pic of how to remove it without tearing it up
