Well I have ran through all the tunes on the DP and really can't tell much of a difference between 80E and 120R. Where do you guys feel the most difference between these two tunes, low end or upper end of the RPM range. It could be that I haven't really been able to stand on it yet because of all the idiots around here. Just curious, let me know. I do have to say the 80E alone was worth it.
They ARE close, but I can tell a difference, especially in the amount and color of smoke between the 2. Your HPOP may be getting a little weak. The big thing is if the HPOP can keep up with the demand of the 120.
It's your stock HPOP that's going to limit you, and is the reason you can't feel much of a difference beyond the 80E. Back when I was still running the stock HPOP, I could hardly tell a difference in the 80E and 120 race on the top end. Both fell flat when the HPOP dropped oil pressure.
80E is a very aggressive tune anyway, and if your HPOP can supply enough oil for anything more aggressive than that, then you won't reap the benefits until you get more oil in there.
On my truck, the difference between 80e and any of the higher tunes is the amount of smoke poured out of the tail pipes. My poor little stock injectors and stock 15* HPOP can't feed enough fuel to the motor to make the bigger tunes run any stronger.
