Excursion problems need help
I purchased an excursion that has several problems that I am trying to address. It has a Quadzilla performance chip. (Zillaraider) w/ 4in exhaust.
Here are my problems.
1. ABS light is on code C1155, C1158
2. Check Engine light on code PO478, PO470
I am using AutoEnginuity OBD-II to read codes and I have 4 other issues where I have found no codes but would also appreciate comments and suggestions.
3. 4WD does not work (no codes) (no indicator to say if I am in 2wd or 4wd (i do know I am in 2WD)
4. Door Ajar light on (no codes) I have cleaned the locks with contact cleaner and air house the locks...no change (will remove door panels next)
5. Cruise Control does not work
6. Power mirrors don't work

Cruise Control will not work while you have the ABS light on... to save us having to look up the codes, post what the AE gave you as the explanation of the codes.. They look familiar but don't remember off the top of my head what they are...
do you have manual hubs? does 4wd engage when in manual lock?
Do you have ford Enhanced package for AE?

Thx for the info about cruise. I do have the enhansed ford package.
The codes are:
C1155 Speed Wheel Sensor LF cuircuit failure
C1158 Speed Wheel LF coherency fault
PO470 EBP - Exhaust back pressure sensor circuit malfunction
P0478 - EPR - Exhaust pressure control valve high input
4WD does not engage when hubs are locked. Light on dash is not lit for 2WD or 4WD, it was for 2WD a couple days ago. No additional codes on AE.

Most likely the ABS sensor on the Left Front wheel is bad and need replacing. The LF and RF sensors are identical you could swap left and right and then clear codes and see if the problem switches to RF sensor then you will know if the sensor is bad or not.. what year is yr Ex? 7.3 or 6.0

I updated my previous reply of diagnosing the sensor... For the P codes, I already saved the DTC diagnostic chart from Alldata for you, just send me a PM with your email and I can send you a PDF of the Diagnostic chart

shouldn't get error codes from AE pointing to where the problem is with the 4WD , power mirrors not working and and door ajar light being on?

Not if there is no power to the system such as a fuse or relay, or the plug disconnected from the switch... see my previous reply and send me a PM

You should be able to see if your 4wd switch is working using the enhanced powertrain setting or the 7.3 diesel (its down at the bottom of the Model list) it will show if the 4x4 switch is registering on and off and also if the low range is engaged or not

Email sent!, I would also check all your fuses etc as it seems like some of the other issues with 4wd and power mirrors etc is related to no power to accessory
