Trans cooler line diameter?

Trans cooler line diameter?
I'm trying to order a trans temp gauge, and want to take the temp reading from the fluid line going to the coolers, and wondered if anyone knew the diameter offhand, i think its 3/8, possibly 1/2, i don't want to order the wrong sender manifold. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks so much Mark, according to Diesel Manor's site, Ford Autos use 3/8, but i had my doubts when i stuck my head under my truck and saw the size of those things. Seems they're not referring to the torqshift, thanks so much for your help! Rep to ya...

Yes, thats an easier and less invasive way to get a temp reading, but i'm more interested in getting the hottest fluid reading i feasibly can, as the pan is usually the coolest. So i'm taking a reading from the output line going to the cooler. Thanks for the reply!
