I don't know why I got the ticket for 45MPH either, when I came home and told my mom I got a ticket she asked where I got pulled over and I said 36 and she said I must have been flying if I was going that much over the speed limit and then she saw the ticket and said "You said 36 right?"
I was pretending to be going to someones house so I could get out of the car and get away from the cop without flooring it and getting into a pursuit. Also, the cops are that bad where I was. Someone died at my high school and while I was out one night with my friend, he got a call from the kids cousin who he is friend with, a day after it happened and he just told me "We have to leave now, we are going to devin's". I didn't question him, I just got in and we got pulled over and he got a ticket for going 9 over, but when the cop asked him why he was in such a rush, he(the cop) told him that it was not a good reason for him to be speeding. When he told his mom what had happened, she said the guy was a ***** and his cousin who is a state trooper said the guy was an *******.
I was alone at the time while I got pulled over, but does that make a difference? Also, using a phone while driving is a primary offense where I live, so if the cop did see me, I would have gotten another ticket for $130.
P.S. here is another story about the cops in that area. There is no curfew there, and a couple friends of mine and a few kids I don't know where walking down that highway one night a long time ago, at least a year ago, and they were not doing anything illegal. Well a cop pulls over and stops them and detains them there while another car shows up. The cop decides to harass my friend who has a stuttering problem, and the cop tells him to talk correctly or to shut up. Well the cops make the kids call their parents to come pick them up at 11:30. When the dad of the kid who stutters shows up, he wasn't pissed at his son, but at the cop for making him wake up for no reason. He asked the cop what the problem was and the cop said they were out too late even though there was no curfew. Well john, the kid who stutters tells his dad what the cop said to him while he was waiting and his dad starts questioning the cop about what makes him think he can say something like that. Long story short, the cops in that town are *mostly* low lives, I have met one cop there who actually helped me out, but thats it.

If this section is a posted 55, get a picture of it for your hearing. Judge should throw it out then.

Kinda sounds like you were trying to hide something, other than the radar detector and cell phone.
If it had been 2 hours earlier I would have been hiding the fact that I had too many people in the car, but at the time, I was not doing anything wrong and besides a weapon I carry everywhere, I had nothing incriminating on me.
Jersey passed a law that they can ticket you for using a handheld cell phone while driving. I forget the fine but I know they can pull you over for just that. Most of the people I know that have had "meetings" with Jersey cops all say they are real a--holes, can't say this first hand as I have never had the pleasure of one of these "meetings" in Jersey. I would fight the ticket just make sure you have all your facts straight and good luck.
A weapon?............Handgun?....You sound a little young to have a concealed handgun permit. Sounds like theres more here than meets the eye.
The weapon is not a handgun, just a paid of brass knuckles, but those are illegal also. I carry them where ever I go, not just on special occasions. I have them if I go to the store to get something for my mom or go to home depot for lumber.

where you also stashing drugs of some sort under the seat??? not being a butt hole or anything... but when i carried around brass knucks... there was also a baggie of something some place in my car or on my person...
anyways... my first sudgestion FIGHT IT... second one, is if you do loose the battle... DONT drop your insureance... ive got 1600 dollars in fines that went into collections last month because i didnt have insureance, and my licenss is suspended until i pay the fines... 3rd... brass knucks dont do a thing unless you REALLY know how to where them... ive watched some friends mess up the palm of their hand PRETTY good... 4th... dont bother with a cell phone... if you want to get out of the car... pull into mc-donalds or something like that instead of calling your friend...
Well I did not have any baggies in my car, just the knuckles, those were the only things in my car I shouldn't have. Also, I know how to hold my knuckles and yes I have seen someone almost break their finger with my knuckles.
