I have a chance of getting my grandad's truck back and was wondering a few things about the drivetrain. It is a 1966 F250 with a 352 and 3 speed (I think) on the column. What tranny and rearend does it have? It has been sitting for quite a few years, but doesn't look to be in bad shape.
Ok, thanks! I'll look for the tag next time I am there. What is a good price to offer? It was dark in there, but from what I could tell it is still very solid. I was told the bed dumps. There is no tailgate.
Wyatt66f100,
is it a short bed, long bed, Styleside, Stepside? It looks like a good blowing off and a bath would do that truck a world of good. Its great to see an old truck setting in a barn or shed or what ever that is. I usually find mine in a field of blackberry vines and get ripped to shreads just trying to get to them. I would get it just from the fact it was your Grandpa's truck. I missed the opprotunity to buy my Grandpa's truck (1966 Chevrolet C10 Long Fleetside) and my Cousin wrapped it around a telephone pole. Dont let it get away.

It's a styleside. I'm not sure if it is a long or short bed, but I want to say it is long.
The second owners (who still own it) had something fall on the original bed so it was replaced with a bed from another '66 that dumps. I think that was done sometime in the 80's
