Why running boards and a step bar? Are you really that short?
My wife has a disability and has a hard time getting up in the truck. Once the lift and bigger tires are on it will be essential that the step is there for her. They do fold up underneath the truck when the truck is off road though so ground clearance is not affected.
Didn't know there had to be a definite point to posting up picks of your X....
Actually, I was responding to Scott4444 asking about updates and pics in another thread.
There never has to be a definite point. I just wanted to know why you were doing this to your truck. I missed the original thread. I think its awesome.
The point is that this is an Ex forum and we share what we got.
Looks great, love the liner/paint job! We can tell you have put MANY hours into your Ex. Can't wait to see the pics when the lift and tires get on. Keep us posted and thanks for the update.
I thought you were having problems with the lift due to Canadian restrictions. Did you get that sorted out?
The pressure we have been exerting on the gov has caused them to back down and delay implementing the regulation until next year while they do a thorough review.
I'm not taking any chances though, so I'm using Ford parts to do my lift and not aftermarket. The regulation bans non OEM suspension parts....
Nick, sorry for misunderstanding your question... I have a cottage up in the mountains here and the road is getting worse and worse each year. This was undertaken to ensure we are able to get up to the camp.....
It was either spend thousands of $ on fixing the road which isn't mine, or investing in the X to make her capable of git'n 'er done
