Butt ugly bracket

My new engine is just about ready to drop in. It was a real kick to stand back and look at it again with everything on it--every bolt wire wheeled, every bracket and pulley brushed and painted, new DS 11 dizzy, wires, TFI coil which bolted right into the block, where the linkage for the clutch went, and the belts and alternator and pwr. str. pump in place.

But I have to admit that pwr. str. bracket is butt ugly, like an monstrous black WING hanging off the side of the block. I was wondering if there is an alternative.

I'm also wondering if I will be able to use my original radiator for the 390. I know I will have to install 'reducers' from the 2" inlet/return hoses, but I was wondering about spacing. Does anyone know. When I take a rough measurement, with the 390 in place, it seems real close. I know I may have to go with a electric fan, but I'd like to save a buck if possible.

If anyone knows, pls let me know.
