Broken dash power outlet

So I just picked up a new-to-me Excursion. There are a few odds and ends broken... stuff like the rear wiper motor/pump assembly, sunglass holder and a few scrapes here don't bother me too much. But the one thing that stares me in the face every day is the mount for the auxiliary power outlet on the dash.

It's broken. The plastic mount appears to have been broken somehow and the outlet just flops around inside of the dash.

How easy is this thing to fix? Even worth worrying about?

If you notice it regularly, then fixing it would be worth the dime. Sure it may take a few short hours, but in the end you will have learned about your rig and done it your self. Sounds like the retainers have snapped to some degree. I'm not sure of the actual mounting arrangement but at worst you would be looking at finding a replacement dash section. The unit may have broken ears and you only need remove old and install a used unit with good mounting points. Just my 2 cents though. My buddies love my work but can't stand things to primped. Waist not, want not, as they say. The power point is a useful thing though.
